Elvin Antecedents [ditty]
He'd blogged since long before there were an internet
his blogging took the form of quiet thinking
instead of surfing well he favored drinking
his networking was more a kind of kinder-net

The Internet certainly has changed things. For me it's helped to bring me back into the pulse of life going on in America. Germany, and the province town I lived in during the 80's/90's, was an enitirely different universe. America didn't exist anymore.
Ah --
and it exists again, hmm?
You're now living in Berlin I think?
Cultural consequences of the internet seem incalculable.
As I remarked to a friend this morning [remarked literally, not, in this case, in form of an internet "remark"; an explanation the need for which seems germane to the point here] -- it's as ubiquitous as water & electricity. (A mild hyperbole, at most.)
