O winter bird!    do you bear some message?
      or are you simply being   in your own world?
I gather from your glimpse   a naked courage
      you seem to live alone   in such a lone world

      I recognize   it's not a hold-the-phone world
            yet you (like I)   subscribe to voice-religion
            who are you anyway?   some lonesome pigeon?
      you're black as night   amid a charcoal-tone world
