A Boomerang for Batul           [boomerang]

With ghetto-blaster sits Batul
the echo-chamber of the world
makes few of us nobody's fool
& who of us ain't often swirled

by abysmal currents way too swift!
while insouciant clouds may idly drift?
kaleidoscopic grows the view
where waterways through pebbles sift

the fodder of the heart is pearled
the wind is hot the breeze is cool
the flag of day at dawn's unfurled
with ghetto-blaster sits Batul

Thanks, David. I love the poem, and what you've done with the picture. I wonder if I can use the picture for my profile page??

sure you're welcome to the watercolorish-ed image -- you can copy it directly, or I can forward an "original" (which might be more pixels than the Blogger version, not sure). Will write via other channel . . .
