ps: oh, you said Sophocles? Now you're getting way too erudite on me. Far as I'm aware, he wasn't too distinguished in the limerick form. Of cousre I could be wrong. :p

Sophocles is formed from sophos, “wise” (as in philosophy, “love of wisdom”), and –klēs, “glorious, famous,” and thus means “having wise fame, famous for wisdom.”
