"Eighteen attributes" [responsive poem]
Eighteen attributes of a person
like eighteen names of a diety
bead after bead makes a strand
multiple frames make a movie
manifold aspects show a mind
a slew of days compose a world
rubbed teak man suggests savoir faire
also cardboard man suggests emptiness
unleaded man may connote empathy
thus reaching man could point to trickery
arranged man bespeaks manipulation
consistently displayed man sums the information
determining qualities of persons
is a talent like midwifery or pharmacy
where language is the tool of assessment
poetry daubs its recordations of noticing
the fine line betwixt appreciation
and accusation clicks negotiably

yes, there's some odd play in the final couplet I'd say.
Good poems sometimes call for responsive poems. Perhaps our literary culture could use a bit more of this, these days.
