"Twirling fast" [tale told in quatrains]

I send a letter to the world
it circulates a season
the fisherman sits and from his line
        a message dangles

the fish who reads the missive
is pulled from darkling waters
and later served in festive ways
        on bright occasions!

but no one reads my letter?
the thread displays no tug
drawing in to throw the line again
        I hurl the sinker!

a line is streaming through the void
a reel is twirling fast
