36 |   "What can be shown"     [pantoum]

What can be shown cannot be said
what can be felt exceeds the thought
the first is something I just read
the second I've this moment wraught
what can be felt exceeds the thought
the thought yet seeks the feeling's form
the second I've this moment wraught
the minute flies before the storm

the thought yet seeks the feeling's form
the form but shows the thought's design
the minute flies before the storm
when hours turn the seconds rhyme
the form but shows the thought's design
the thought enjoys the form's delight
when hours turn the seconds rhyme
the shore is washed by day and night

the thought enjoys the form's delight
the music lives by melody
the shore is washed by day and night
the comic springs from tragedy
the music lives by melody
is rhythm born? or is it bred?
the comic springs from tragedy
what can be shown cannot be said

Pantoum beginning with a sentence borrowed from Ludwig Wittgenstein (Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus 4.1212).
