"Too many poems" [gnomic ditty / rubai]

There are too many poems on the writing of poems!
          a poet opined in a note
there are too many boats about riding in boats!
          I note that a boatman wrote
if a myriad words address speaking in words
          how prolix grow thoughts about thoughts!
what with so many "too many"s filling the tomes
          would you vote to recite them by rote?
