Lost and Found [reply poem]
for John Matthew
As with reincarnation
begin again with a new one!
admittedly it won't remember
all those old phone numbers
yet won't it bring the very same
beloved voices to your waiting ear?
and might it suggest the selfsame
cellphone disguised in fresh garb?

Thanks David, yes I do know that Ern Malley was invented by two Sydney poets, James McAuley and Harold Stewart who were intent on proving that modern poetry was a sham, but they did not "hoax" Max Harris the Editor, they wrote some really good poetry and I have been reading (again and again) the Ern Malley poems entitled "The Darkening Ecliptic"....thanks so much for pointing out my spelling mistake.
Plus U and John M,
thanks for your notes.
cheers,
d.i.
